Business Attorney Mary Parent Appointed to Union Bank Advisory Board

Business attorney Mary Parent was one of two members appointed to the St. Johnsbury Advisory Board of Union Bank in April, 2013.

“We are very pleased to have these two outstanding individuals on our St. Johnsbury Advisory Board whose commitment to the local community and professional expertise will be an asset to the Bank,” stated Union Bank President and Chief Executive Officer David Silverman.

Union Bank has three advisory boards, each covering a portion of the bank’s service area. The advisory boards act as ambassadors for the bank, have lending authority and represent the bank at community functions. The boards make recommendations to management for new products, growth opportunities and areas needing improvement.

Business attorney Mary ParentA senior associate at Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC, Parent focuses on corporate and commercial law in the areas of business formation and operation, private equity transactions, financing, mergers and acquisitions, estate planning and commercial real estate. She is a graduate of Boston College Law School, is admitted to the Bar of Massachusetts, Vermont, and New Hampshire and is a member of the Vermont and New Hampshire Bar Associations. Parent is the president of the St. Johnsbury Chamber of Commerce, the treasurer of the Caledonia County Bar Association and is a member of the Northeast Kingdom Young Professionals Group. She previously served on the board of directors of Catamount Film & Arts, and as coordinator of the St. Johnsbury chapter of the Women Business Owners’ Network.
