In a breakfast meeting with business leaders and attorneys in the Burlington office of Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC, Vermont Senate President Pro Tempore Peter Shumlin provided an overview of the challenges facing the Vermont legislature this session and responded to a wide range of questions posed by those attending the first 2009 DRM Leadership Forum on Tuesday, February 24.
Shumlin, who lives in Putney, Vt., has represented the Windham Senate District for more than a dozen years. He has held the highest leadership position in the Vermont Senate from 1994 to 2002 and from 2006 to the present.
Speaker of the House Shap Smith will be the featured speaker at the next Leadership Forum on Monday, March 2, 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. DRM clients and legal professionals are invited to take advantage of these opportunities to engage in conversation with Vermont’s top leadership.
