DRM HR Cafe | Return to Office Plans

There are growing tensions at organizations where employees who have been working from home are now expected to come into reopened offices.

While some companies have made long-term commitments to remote work, many companies are starting to bring employees back to the office amid gains in vaccination numbers. Even with a hybrid model, employees are often at odds with management about how often they would like to be in the office. Employers are finding that many employees are reluctant to give up their remote work setups and are anxious about returning to the office. A survey released last month by the American Psychological Association found that 49 percent of adults feel uneasy about returning to in-person interactions once the pandemic is over, regardless of whether they had been vaccinated. Employers will need to be prepared for the anxiety among their workers returning to the office during this transition.

Join Beth Rattigan and special guest Dr. Philip Adamo, Chief and Medical Director of Occupational and Environmental Medicine at the Geisel Medical School at Dartmouth, for a discussion of how businesses are approaching this hot topic.
