From multi-billion dollar global corporations to local start-ups, William Morris III has helped a diverse range of clients add value to their businesses through the creation, protection, and enforcement of their intellectual property rights. He has extensive experience in clearing, registering, and enforcing trademarks globally, managing and optimizing both small and large trademark portfolios, and negotiating intellectual property-related agreements.
William is so passionate about trademark law that he sleeps with a copy of the Trademark Manual of Examining Procedure next to his bed, watches television for commercials, and reads through 10-20 catalogs per week for “fun.” When he’s not representing brands, you can find him watching hockey or spending time with his family on their farm.
Prior to joining DRM, William served as President and Counsel for Hershey Chocolate & Confectionery Corporation, was Global Trademark Counsel for Under Armour, Inc., and most recently was General Counsel for the Shark Tank success story Felt LLC. He also has worked at national, regional, and IP boutique law firms, with a consistent focus on handling intellectual property matters.
